You know the world has changed…

June 17, 2007 Mr. Shim Leave a comment

…when you realize Apple has rolled out their website redesign. One of the best designed websites of all time has changed its look. Looks more in line with the new Apple UI across the products and IPhone product.

See it here:

Apple.com

You wont realize the implications of this unless you’re a geek, MAC geek, a web/graphic/UI designer or someone whose been associated with Apple for awhile. Look at the footer links of the new website. Look at the black background, gray toolbar. The drop down list on the bottom of the page. Yup, the world has changed indeed…whether we like it orĀ  not. Time for me to quietly sit and reflect on this with a hint of nostalgia…

For starters, there is talk of adding a “VAT” ie value added tax onto “contractual services” (vague, eh?), which would presumably encompass It services as well. Hmm expensive IT services. Well lets see where that goes, but there is something more alarming. read on… Read more…

So, if the days the 9th of June in Pakistan and I am in the US and its 12 hours behind, I possibly wont get the latest version of Dawn on the website, but a day old (since Dawn follows Pakistan time).
